BlueStem helps rotational-grazing cattle operations in the United States watch pasture from satellite and plan moves. Guidance is best tested in North Texas and southern Oklahoma, where we run our own herd. This site takes inquiries and explains the offer. In the mapping app at app.bluestem.io, you can register paddocks for satellite monitoring. Drawing paddocks does not, by itself, produce a forage forecast. After a clear satellite pass, the confirmation card shows each paddock as Ready, Resting, or Waiting and the last clear image date. That card does not print pounds of grass. The ranch model is a separate estimate with an honesty banner.
Estimates are operational, not certified agronomy. You still know your land better than any computer. Do not treat BlueStem as a substitute for your own eyes, a consultant, or insurance.
BlueStem's annual software plans are $69, $149, $499, and $1,999, paid once for 12 months through the app's Stripe Checkout. The tier depends on monitored grazing acres, permanent paddocks, separate operating areas, and the small-herd cutoff shown on the homepage. Ranches beyond the published limits need a custom quote. This is a one-time annual payment, not an automatically renewing subscription. Personal mapping and field visits are scoped separately.
The price shown in the app before Checkout is the price charged for that year. BlueStem does not guarantee feed savings or a particular forage-estimate accuracy. The landing-page feed calculator is an illustrative scenario using your inputs, not a prediction of your outcome.
The mapping app signs you in with a magic link sent to your email. Keep that inbox under your control. You are responsible for the paddock names and polygons you submit. Do not upload geometry you have no right to use. Do not try to break, scrape, or overload the service.
Card processing is handled by Stripe. BlueStem never stores full card numbers on this site or in the app database. We may store a Stripe customer id and whether the season is unpaid, skipped (test), or paid.
First clear-pass recommendation within 7 days when skies allow, or we email a plain status on day 7. If we miss that note, you can request a full refund of this annual plan within 14 days of payment. Not a biomass guarantee. The request is available only on a paid plan, only after the status email was missed, and only within 14 days of payment. The app records the request and emails Matt, who issues the refund manually in Stripe. The app does not refund the card by itself.

The satellite, weather, and hosting pieces can fail. We will work problems as they come, but we do not promise uninterrupted uptime. We may update these terms; the date at the top is the current version. Material price changes will be stated on the site before they apply to new seasons.
BlueStem is provided as-is for operational ranch decisions. To the extent Texas law allows, Matt Dickson / BlueStem is not liable for lost cattle, lost forage, or consequential damages from using or not using the estimates. Some states do not allow certain limitations; those limits apply only as far as the law permits.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes is Cooke County, Texas, unless the law requires otherwise.
